We chose a commercial style faucet which mounts in a single hole, has no soap dispensers, and has just the two water supply flexible, since my wife bought a decorative hand pump bottle for dish liquid that can be kept on the counter.
The instructions were good, but when we attached the old disposal it became heavier, so we decided to use a new tactic called GRAVITY.
It looks a bit cleaner than the dated looking cast-iron Badger, so I am pleased with the purchase.
The old one had a wall plug, so it was unplugged, and the mounting and assembly were a bit rusty, but with a blast of WD 40 and a cup of coffee.
I am happy to say that it is the same size as the model it replaced, but it is shorter and I don't know how much it will cost.

I had one from when I purchased my place and it started leaking from the bottom intermittently, but insinkerator was very helpful but noted that it was over 7 years old and out of warranty from the serial number I supplied.

Can the Evolution Compact 1/3hp unit replace an Insinkerator 1/3hp model as a do-it-yourself install?
A:
The evolution compact 1/3hp unit is larger than the 1/3hp model. I had a plumbing professional install it and he had no problems with the replacement unit.

I installed the disposer and the sink doesn't drain unless I am running it. Any ideas on what's causing it?
A:
The rubber insert in the disposal drain needs to be tighter to help reduce the sound of the unit, but it may take awhile for it bend down and not impede the drain.

I don't want the unit that uses the wall switch to use the drain plug.
A:
Yes. It's hardwired from the disposal and plugs into a receptacle under the sink which is wired to the wall switch to turn the unit on and off.

Will this be a big problem in a single bowl sink if people mention that water drain very slow with this disposal?
A:
I have a single bowl sink that the disposal doesn't drain very fast.
