The lead blackness actor is the only reason I kept watching this movie, hoping he would meet the light or observe some resolution in the end. The entire movie was the black role player, existence the one good guy in the motion-picture show, while his costar, who's his ex which he however has feelings for, is a huge incredibly insensitive sex activity hungry narcissist. Non only that, with exception of the black thespian, everyone in the motion picture is an A-hole. No joke. Yes, it's based in LA, and in that location certain are shallow and rude gays running around this town. Merely after watching this, I couldn't figure what was the point. As a gay black man, I hated this picture. It's got sex and skin, and it tries to exist funny, and that'south all good. But if you lot know you're making a movie with niggling substance, at least present some kind of resolution to the protagonist's emotional agony, which you made certain to include throughout the film. The essence of this film was the lead white role player, being a selfish narcissist, doing whatever he wanted, including being racially insensitive at times for what seems to be a laugh for the audience (I judge nosotros know what audience), and never seeing a consequence nor ever having any kind of enlightening moment. It'southward deplorable we take to watch foreign films with subtitles to picket hot guys take real meaningful connections.

Inane plot and plodding story filled in with some less than spectacular "hot" men. Such a mess! The writer(s) aren't certain if they desire a one-act, a mystery, a porno, an adventure or a noir! So, they throw information technology all in and mix information technology up so that they finish up with this mess and it ends up beingness not very much. Certainly the denouement, when it finally culminates is and so awkward that it makes no sense. Information technology does have guns, a very few hot guys and actors that seem competent, but the script gives them no mercy for a decent story. YIKES! Supposedly the title song was curt listed as an Oscar contender. Hard to believe; I don't remember that year being so meager.

MOVIE IS JUST OUT AND OUT FUN. The actors are all pretty terrific, the writing is cleaver as is the direction. The human relationship of the 2 lead characters is complicated and, while not leading to any kind of anticipated ending, it is deliciously enjoyable. I have to say, that the plot is a bit disjointed, in the stop, but there is and so much smashing stuff in this motion picture that I take no trouble giving information technology high recommendation. The managing director takes some bang-up cutaways that remind me of some of the all-time of, ""Family Guy," and the occasional nudity (there is enough as nosotros get toward the end) is done with a slapstick, continued sense of a good time had by all. To begin, accept an player who, in studying for a part as a detective, finds himself curious nearly a real life murder and ends upwards doing some genuine detective work. He is joined past his, can't-go along-his-pants-on..."boyfriend (?)". Part of the joy of this movie is how nosotros are kept wondering equally to what really is the nature of their human relationship, and , it seems, that the nature of their connexion keeps them confused right along with the audience.. The leads are both handsome and atypical of the kind of men we are accustomed to seeing in gay cinema; they are only, "guys," There is a third character here who is worth talking about:: the actor's gun-shooting charabanc, an older, tough-equally-nails creepo who gets fatigued into the example even as he is comically confused and mystified by the behavior of gay men. I beloved this picture and would watch it again any fourth dimension. I hope you savor it likewise. I wish this movie would turn into a regular series

Yeppers, 4 stars. The 2 leads Marc Anthony Samuel, Brian Mcardle, the teacher who is teaching them to be detectives and Brian's current fellow...all did a superb job in this fun little motion picture. Yous have to love the title! The snippy trademark comments from the people are snarky and comical, information technology's what we do! The ii leads play so well off each other. the teacher....honey him and his remarks also. Are we sure he isn't......... I won't get into the plot because it would be as well easy to give something away. The reason for iv stars and non 5 for the sheer entertainment? if you don't figure it out....y'all are out of MY detective agency (I don't actually have 1 but, well, ya know, for effect) and the abysmal performances by quite a few others, particularly the mother, why was she fifty-fifty in this? Actually non necessary except to make the relationship betwixt her and Brian Mcardle as her son, really creepy and icky. Bad actress too, must be a relative of someone involved. Nothing like nepotism.

Gay murder mystery romantic comedy; heavy on the romance (non so skilful), no existent comedy. The acting was good and believable, merely there were too many gay stereotypes for me. The part of the mother was supposed to be comic relief, but she just came off every bit cartoon. There just wasn't enough funny/comedy for me. The stereotypical falling apart when things got difficult was neither necessary or funny. The PI teacher was a good plot device, simply wasn't developed enough. The PI should have been the much needed comedy. His bitching at the stop should have come up earlier and been funnier instead of abrasive. It seems obvious that this was supposed to exist the beginning of a series of movies, only I don't think information technology will happen. That'south a shame because this was a good (not great) movie compared to the other gay themed stuff being released.

I give it iv stars considering it is very well done; all four parts are well executed: Interim, Directing, Filming and location scenery. The fifth office, the story, is pretty predictable, only altogether the movie is lots of fun, and very entertaining.

This movie was a please from offset to finish. Information technology is a parody of private investigator movies, with a love interest thrown in. It reminded me of Nadine, some other delightful moving picture. The 2 principal characters, and the PI teacher, are great fun, and thoroughly believable. Danny loves Pip, who is a slut just who also loves Danny, though they weren't able to remain lovers seemingly in part due to Pip's mother (who is baroque, but becomes understandable). The movie was very thoughtful, and effortlessly, in a few seconds sometimes, answered small questions you had nearly the characters. The gruff PI was funny, and his manlike teacherliness was fun to watch in response to the two straight-acting just sometimes gay-seeming gay guys. The tension between the 2 leads was believable and entertaining, and moving at times; Pip'due south commemoration of enjoyable sexual practice and Danny's heartfelt mix of love, acrimony and expose toward Pip were an interesting mix intellectually and emotionally. Information technology was fun from get-go to stop. If you like mysteries and romance, you'll enjoy this film.

I liked this. It was much amend than nigh gay movies and I didn't similar the fact at that place was threatened sexual physical violence against pip almost the end. But It was well written and the acting was expert. Mildly amusing, it might have been better without that as a abiding undercurrent. At the end, I wished there were sequels. Oh well.
